yes, and yes, but they won't pull them off the acorns if that's where they are... It is a full ration feed, meaning a deer could live healthy eating it out of a bucket. Not many attractants are like that. Bb2 is SOO much better for the deer than corn nutritionally and its digestibility is way higher than protein pellets... We have seen good results with it. I havn't used the block but have heard a LOT of good things about it honestly more good things about it than bb2. since bb2 doesn't go well in a spin feeder a lot of people wont try it. kinda the wrong time of year for the block right now but they will hit it when they need it.

Lol I use to feed peanut skins to cattle, I'd mix it with cotton seed. Deer would tear it up. But when white oaks falls good luck

I have never seen it, but we do have a few wild grape vines on our property and I have never seen a grape one on them...could be squirrels tho?!?

I know they do because my mom used to pick them, she's not that tall and I know she wouldn't have gotten a latter...

Deer will walk over acorns for peanuts once they have been eating them. Never tried Big & J since I always use corn. I feel like there are SEVERAL good feeds that like he said "once they have been eating them" they will leave corn for every time. Digestive feed back teaches them it is a better food source and they quickly learn to hit that first. Big&J is just very well balanced feed that is really good for the deer. We have been using it but like I said its hard to fight a million years of natural instinct saying EAT THE ACORNS

Will they eat it? yes. Is it any better than attracting deer than corn? No. White oak acorns smoke everything BOBO, Where I live in VA we usually have a ton of acorns...both white oak and read oak...this year the ground is covered with them. That said, they will ALWAYS come to the corn over the acorns. I'm 68 and have been hunting over 50 years so my observation span is lengthy. I've always read that deer will forsake everything for white oak acorns, but my personal observations say "corn is king."

I'm just opposite, I've seen them walk through soybeans and alaflafa, past corn and right to white oak tree. I've even tried to put a stand in one, but trees are usually to big.
Infact where we get our best buck pics via camera.
May be we have a few mature white oaks and you have a ton, supply and demand. Where they aren't as concentrated on them as us, kind of deal. They don't seem to hit the red oaks as hard as white though.

I do not doubt what you are seeing.....just not seeing that here. They feed on the white oaks first here in VA. Right now they are not touching my clover food plots ..they are eating acorns. But I am certain that if I put out corn they would be on it like white on rice. I think maybe you hit on the head when you mentioned the "supply and demand" as we can have acorns on the ground here in VA (the red oaks) through December.
Bottom line is you have to know what you local deer are doing.
P.S. On those big oaks I use a climbing stick (use to use screw in tree steps when I was younger and more risk tolerant) and a chain on stand.....you can add additional chain to fit any tree. Hanging them is a little bit of a hassle, but once in place you are good to go. I'm 68 now and use a life line when I hunt those stands.....but to be honest I do like a nice ladder stand!

I put out a 20lb sack of that B&J and 3 days later I had 5 bucks I had not seen beforecoming by the area. They were all little ratchet heads, but they were new... the regular group of bucks for that area were also going by eating it. It was gone in about 4 days.
