I already posted this in the waterfowl forum, but figured I'd make the offer here too. Pheasant hunting is as good as you'll find anywhere else in the state & I have plenty of access to great property that I acquired the last couple years.
(Copied & pasted from waterfowl forum. See that post for a bunch of pics from the last 2 years)
So I had a trip planned to go to North Dakota this fall, leaving Oct 22 getting back Oct 29. My buddy had to back out due to some unseen complications & I need a driving buddy! It's a 1660 mile, 24 hour trip & I was planning on making it in a straight shot. I'll be taking my Chevy Cruise that gets around 35 mpg & will be staying with a buddy so lodging is free. I lived in the area & hunted it a ton so I promise, the waterfowl & pheasant hunting will be as good or better than you've ever experienced. We already have more decoys & gear than we need, so all you need is a valid driver's license, a good shotgun, & some warm camo clothes & chest waders. First yes gets the spot! Also, since I don't post here much, if a few fellow members could vouch for your general mental stability, I'd appreciate it. I really don't wanna wind up dead in a ditch somewhere between San Antonio & Nodak lol

Last part cracked me up. I'd love to go but I gotta bring the dog on my trips and my schedule is such that I can't plan anything this far in advance. Good luck. Sounds like an awesome trip.

Dog is more than welcome! My car is a work horse & I treat it as such. There's been more than a few muddy, nasty pooches in the back seat

I would try to take you up on this but I will be in Mott, ND during the same time period, going after those pesky Chinese chickens.

Best of luck.

Timbo, we'll be stopping by Mott on the way to my hunting grounds. I've heard the pheasant hunting is outstanding around that area.

Fish,

Hope you made it up here ok. Post some photos of what you take down. Hopefully I can get some brag pics up there.

Best of luck.

See the waterfowl forum if you wanna hear the report & see some pics. Hunting was tough. Had to walk a lot more than I'm used to smile
