I finally got to take my suppressed 300blk hunting from my tripod.
I had a few pigs at first light and popped the first one. In a minute one returned, and he also didn't leave.
In about 5 minutes I got a doe with my bow.
And thank God TPWD finally dumped the no firearms during archery season rule, it was a stupid rule.

My AE30 makes my 300WM hearing safe. I imagine it would do the same to a 300WSM.

Nice!!!! I've shot a couple of doubles and once got a triple on hogs as they ran past me, but most of the time, one shot and they scatter faster then I can reload and get back on them. Is your suppressor quiet enough not to scare them off? Where did you get it and what caliber are you shooting? Do you need any special license or permit to have one?

Thanks
Eddie

That's neat.

But if you have a group of hogs is it quiet enough that none run off at the shot?

The gun is actually pretty quiet, especially when using subs, which I did.
But the sound of the bullet hitting the hog is even loader. You can clearly hear the bullet hit. It seems that the sound of impact scares them more than the sound of the gun. I wasn't certain if they would come back. I have shot pigs with this gun before and the others never returned.

The suppressor is a Yankee Hill 30 caliber, quick detach. I use it on several different guns including the 300blk I used for these pigs. I did a firearms trust and got the suppressor through the Silencer Shop, they sure made it easy.
