An Amish family goes to the city. As the mother shops, father and son go exploring. In one of the fancy building lobbies they find a bench to take a rest. Across the way is a set of doors with blinking lights. As they watch a little bell chimes, the doors open by themselves! A matronly woman with a cane enters the little room inside, the bell chimes and the doors close again.
"What was that, Pa?"
"Don't know"
The little lights blink, stop, and blink again. Ding! And the doors open for a young woman dressed for the warm summer weather.
"Son, go and bring your mother here quick!"

Elevators would be pretty wild for someone who'd never seen them.
