Had the same same issue last year. Unfortunately we didn't notice them until later in the morning when it started to warm up. The wife and daughter were in the blind with me. They freaked out and almost sent the wasp into attack mode.

Fortunately it was cold that morning and I was able to kill the wasp. Unfortunately the wife refused to stay in the blind and stepped out and came face to face with the only deer that showed up that morning.....end of hunt frown

Last year was a fiasco at my blind the day before opening. Ended up running into town for a couple of cans of wasp killer and enjoyed a few minutes of frantic self-defense with the stuff.

I'm trying a Hot Shot No-Pest-Strip this year. I don't know if it will work yet, but I'll know in seven weeks.

Every year the same problem for me. Unless you want to spend a crazy amount of time sealing up the blind accept and check the blind before you go to hunt I keep a can of the 20' spray wasp killer at each blind. Went to prep for the season last weekend and had to spray at least one nest in each blind.

Just have to deal with it. I have found that a sky blue ceiling helps, along with black walls. But it seems the plastic blinds that are black don't attract them as much. Anyway, we put a fogger in the blind in September, and then again in Early October. Seems to work for us.

My blind had a huge nest in it when I checked it yesterday. I was able to throw in a box of moth balls. I'll check it again in two weeks and bring some spray. Last year, though, after the moth balls they were long gone. Plus, I'm convinced the nasty smell masks your smell barf

Here's what I found in one of my stands a few years ago. Cracked door, threw in a can of bug bomb and 4 hours later they're all dead!

Check for wasps on the cold mornings....then use wasp spray. They sure like building nests under chairs.
As in rarjar's photo.

I usually use a fogger each year in September, just didn't know if there was anything that would keep them out for good. I think last year I piled up about 50 or 60 dead wasps during my first hunt.
