Just had had a random question come to mind and figured I would ask those who know more than I. What would be the largest game that could be takin with a #55 recurve?

It all depends on distance and shot placement, with an emphasis on shot placement.

Anything in North America can be taken with a 55# bow given the right shot opportunities. There isn't anything on my ranch that a 55# bow won't take down.

Sharp broad head and correctly splined arrow I have slipped arrows through many a boar with my 42# Sarrels longbow. Not much is tougher than the thick shields of a boar...
