Sent a check 5/2014 to join the foundation and have yet to hear back from them regarding a membership number or magazine as promised when I was solicited to join. Last month after 3 months of not hearing from NWTF, I requested a refund of membership fees and then last month again requested a refund. I have not heard from NWTF yet and must warn
others that this organization is a RIP OFF!! BEWARE it is truly unfortunate because their premise is noble.

I never heard of them having any problems. Did you sign up through a local chapter, state or national office?

its a rip off I joined when they offered a free knife and magazines.. what they don't tell you is that they will send you all kinds of useless crap for you to "try" and if you like it they will charge your CC if you don't you send it back. Its like they do the shopping for you IE "all the crap that cant sell in stores" I got tired of running to the post office to get return receipts.

I have emailed them twice.. I joined at the local Ardmore Ok. chapter..FUNNY, THE REPLY WAS ASKING ME TO HELP RAISE $$$$$$ FOR THEM….A RIP OFF. Would like to hear from others regarding bad experiences!

on the post nut comment. i realize my posts come off bitter ta some. years ago was a member of NAHC basicly for discount on magazine. Ya they talked about the give aways, & try these products Free, & then give report. all the years was a member, never got nothing Free, take that back did get Free stickers & key chain ring type thing a magige that says Life Member, whin they tried ta get me ta be life member, had bills ta pay, kept hearing how bad .times were at work, we was blessed if we got a nickle raise. no bonus except time away, hot nasty drunken foundry, it payed the bills. times got tough, quit sending yearly discount price, hmmm, no more magazines. it cost money ta run bussness. Think it twas last year they sent letter for chance ta be Life Time Member, with all kinds of benifits. i too think it a good cause, but had ta tell them no cause of me income. like pappy always say's: i gotta be me, no one else wants the job Edit: dang android, typed stinken & it switched it ta drunken 2nd Edit: just had ta sign back in, android gave me de boot . saving a post here, tired of diggen. did U cancel or did they

I used to belong the NWTF and a lot of other ones like the RMEF and NAPH etc., but after retiring my money had other priorities. I never once had any problems with the NWTF, and was a long time member. They have done lots for turkey hunting, introduced turkeys back into area that no longer had hunt able numbers. Most of Texas now has the numbers of turkeys that each county has a season, NWTF helped with the program.

You signed up with a local chapter, my money is on them screwing the pooch, find the local treasurer and get him/her on the case.

I almost thought you belonged to the REMFs.

Sent a third email on monday and still no answer, local chapter president said he couldn't help that I needed to call national chapter, will do so every day next week. Cannot believe the $30 membership fee that they seem to refuse to refund is worth the thousands of $$$ in bad publicity!

My Texas Game and Fish magazine said there's an outfit out of Oregon thats sending out magazine renewal bills and keeping the money. They're doing it to TF and G and other outdoor publications. When you renew or subscribe, be sure it's the real MdCoy!
