The Rods For Soldiers axis hunt in Fredricksburg is in the books. We all had a great time. The ranch owner was very gracious and the hunt manager took very good care of us. We had a full moon and high winds so things were a little difficult. We saw tons of whitetail but the axis just wouldn't come out. We managed to take one buck and one doe. we ate good and drank a few beers. Most importantly it was relaxing, peaceful, and friendships were developed.
Thank God for our dedicated young men and women that are willing to sacrifice so that the rest of us can live free and unafraid.
Here are few pictures.

That's awesome! I'm sure everyone had a great time.

Yes it was a great time, I'm the one in the picture with the orange Mohawk. I didn't get a deer, didn't even see any. Although I heard quite a few. But regardless of that it was still a good time. Saw more whitetail I've ever seen in one place before, saw a few hundred over the 3 days.
