Anyone replace their veins with them yet? I watched a video that a guy basically destroyed one and it flew straight where it was supposed to. Seen like a great idea over fletching.

Shot them several yeas ago, and yes, they fly straight. I just couldn't get use to the look.

Fletching is just too easy for me to use them.

I field tested them when they first came out, I forgot the fellows name that came out with them, he sent me half dozen to try out. He was a really nice guy. They work but just not my cup of tea.

I doubt I'll ever shoot anything else in my life but feathers, I just gave away my last compound bow fully rigged arrows and all. laugh

That's all I use. They outfly any vane configuration on the market today. You will need a fallaway rest to make them work though. The only problem they do have is sound. They are louder than vanes but that's it.

Here's a video with me using them. http://youtu.be/uPYgxQEp_V4

I do have the ultra rest. I really like the idea.

What happens when you make a kill? Do they just fall off? Assuming the arrow penetrates deep enough to knock it off?

No i use the Trophy Ridge Revolution 2 Fall-Away Arrow Rest.

Your FOB pops off after impact and lands, hopefully near by. This not always the case because of wind, animals moving and to many other things to think of can move your FOB after falling. Recovery of your arrow will be greatly reduced after your FOB comes off.

I've added a reflective wrap to my arrows which helps out a lot.

If you have any questions about your rest working with FOBs. Just email starflight and they will let you know.
