Hey Y'all...What crossbow package would you suggest for a fairly complete package under $750....may be able to go $800. Used to bow hunt but switching to crossbow. Any suggestions and why are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Darton Serpent package. You can find it for well under that price now. Why, easiest drawing and "quietest" shooting crossbow I have shot.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Wow, a lot of info that is out there about this and that, and a lot of research to do. First, where are you located? What is close to you that might have some crossbows that you can shoot? Me, I looked at several and went with the Excalibur Matrix, but it was a little more than your 750 budget. But with this said, you have several options in the Excalibur series. Best thing about them, you don't have to have a press or take it to the shop to get a string change I would shoot several first, maybe visit some crossbow specific sites, www.crossbownation.com is one of them. There are several options to buy them at some online sites as well, and it can be a lot less expensive to do so. Hope some of this might help....

i just purchased a Darton viper ss extreme. was on sale, within your price range, normally 1k. very fast shooter and accurate as can be. took it to the range and had it sighted in, hitting bullseye's from 20-40 yards in about 30 min using only 2 arrows at a time.
darton makes a solid product.
