Those look very interesting, hope you like it. Wish you had bought from someone other than those bottom feeding leaches though.

I have one in 223. It is perfect for keeping in the Kubota. Shoots better than I can. Good trigger, light weight, feeds good and so far I really like it.

One of our lease members shoots one in .243. Very nice compact guns, but the muzzle blast and percussion from that short barrel is ridiculously and unbelievably loud. Would most likely be hard for a young hunter to get accustom to, without developing a flinch!

I bought the compact im 308 for my 11 year old son last year. I really like it!!! Shoots good and he handles it better than the marlin youth 7-08 he had before. The ruger is lighter than the marlin, but felt recoil is less on the ruger. He likes it alot better and flinch has not been a problem. I would buy one for me if I did not have a model 7 in 308.

I bought my mom one when they first came out, maybe in '06 or 7. Her's is stainless over grey laminate in .260. It is a fine rifle, it is light and shoots very well. The only complainant I have is it will kick a bit because of the light weight. My mom is small and it fits her well. She's killed many deer and pigs with it.
