Looking at a property in Hardeman county this season. Does anyone hunt out there? I have been told there are some monsters.

I think it depends where you are hunting. I hunted out there years ago and from what I saw ranches were hit or miss. We were southwest of quanna on the pease river. Hope that helps.

Has really good potential depending on the terrain and deer density, which Brian mentioned. Some areas can be really good and have Mule Deer and Whitetail depending on what part of the county you are hunting.

I hunt with a friend who has a ranch north of Quanah on the Red. Amazing piece of property with great deer hunting and tons of turkeys. We see 130s every trip out to ranch, and it is common to see 140s and 150s. There have been a few on camera that we guess are in the 160s. I shot a 6.5 yr old 11pt that scored 147 two years ago and have passed on many better that were to young. Great area with great deer but I think a lot depends on the terrain and water on the property. Great place to hunt, good luck!

When I was hunting out there we had a bunch of quail as well. Makes for a great bonus.
