Yep I am running the 129 Lr accubonds and 45 gr of h414 at 2904 out of a 23 inch creed How does the dope chart hold up with the published BC from Nosler?

I would suggest 6.5 creed is great for non-reloaders. As a reloader of 308 and 260 among others, I prefer the 260.
260 loaded ammo is often more expensive than Hornady creed which you could stock up on.

With the additional magazine box length the Creed is looking better and better I should also mention that I don't ever plan on purchasing an AR-10 or LR308 like platform. My 260 is a non-DM bolt gun. I like the 6.5 Grendel (or 6.8 SPCII) in the AR15 platform.

Now I have high end dies, and quite a :bit of brass, so I feel married to it. But as throats erode, the 6.5 Creed handloader can chase the lands longer than the 260 can, and still fit in the mag.

I just picked up a McWhorter 6.5 Ackley Improved. Was wanting a SA 6.5, but can't complain for the price I got. Anxious to drive it. Pushing 140's at 3100 fps according to McWhorter during load development.

I will really like a Remington action, but they only make a 260 and it is only 20". Is it better to buy a Remington action/gun and have it re-chambered/barreled or just buy a custom gun? I have always done my own triggers/stocks, reloading and other custom changes.

Hmmm, I only have a few 6.5's....
6.5-06ai (2), 6.5x55 and .256 Newton
I would build, versus off the rack, but that is just me. Though the 6.5Creed in a Ruger Hawkeye would be a great start.

Either or. If you do your own stock and trigger work might as well just true action and rebarrel. One thing to remember is a lot of the custom maker buy stocks and triggers in large quantity so they get a discount. A lot of the time they can install them close to what you can just buy them for.

Just get a custom 6.5 Creed and you will never look back. Or do like BoBo and rebarrel an old 700 to one and you will be happy as a lark

What are the advantages of a 6.5 Creedmoor, 260 Remington, 6.5x47 Lapua and what is the ideal barrel length for each. Basically looking for a good long range hunter. Most hunting will be from blinds. Not worried about barrel length or carry weight. Assuming all will have the same stock.

6.5 Creedmoor and 260 produce the same external ballistics. 6.5 x 47 makes a bit less velocity if it's loaded sensibly, but it can match MV of the other two if pushed hard vs the other two loaded sensibly. In other words a hot loaded 6.5 x 47 meets a moderate loaded 260 and 6.5 Creedmoor.
To extract the velocity out of the case a 24" barrel will do, but it makes for a long rifle.
Savages aren't ugly, BIL's hobby is hating on them just because it's fun for him.

I love anything 6.5, but in my opinion if your going to have one you ought to have one that can get the most out of the caliber. By that I mean good velocity with the highest BC bullet. 6.5-284, 6.5-06, 264 wm are great cartridges. Of the 3 I like the 264 because it has the most velocity, but they will all do what you want to do. If your up for something creative the 6.5 wsm, 6.5 saum and 6.5-06 AI are all cool rounds that offer a little more in the velocity department. Of course the fun police will start squawking about barrel life if you build one of the aforementioned wild cats. The 26 Nosler is going to be a booger bear but I think it's going to kick and to me that defeats the purpose of having a 6.5.
