It often depends on the size of the shop and how old your bow is. I know some shops will offer to sell it on consignment, somoe won't touch it at all. Unless it is a year old, I doubt you will find one that will take it as a trade and even then you will not get what you want for it. Try to sell it on archery talk.

Outdoor World in Garland area use to do this, but no idea if they do now.
Might call Alvarado Archery as I saw some used bows last time I was in the store.

Get a hold of east texas archery and bait and see if he can help. That is who I have started using for my work and couldn't be happier.

There is a shop in Stephenville that may help you as well.

Its a 2008 reflex excursion. I went to all start archery in Lewisville saturday and shot the bowtech carbon knight and liked it but im wanting 5o try out the bear method and try out the prime bows and elite bows.im currently trying to sell my old bow to help take some sting off of buying a new one. Any advice on bows I need to try would be appreciated. Trying to keep it under $700.

Try the Bear Anarchy, to me it is smoother shooting than the Method and close to the Carbon knight but of course heavier. Prime and Elite bows are great shooters also, obsession is another to look at.
Another sweet shooter to look at is Strothers, Cabela's in FW has some on clearance of the 2013 models Wrath SHO is a sweet shooter for such a short bow.
