One of my side gigs that i do for side cash is stock pepperidge farm bread and crackers in several grocery stores and Wal-Marts here in Amarillo. My boss owns the route.

Now I was just at my last Wal-mart and after doing my cracker stocking, I walked over to the ammo and check what they had.

I ran into a young man, and a basket full of supplies.

He had:

-mechanics gloves
-some kinda shirt or jacket
-small 4-6 inch pry bar
-large 12-15 inch pry bar
- a kids aluminum bat

And he picked the ONLY co2 BB gun without a orange tip.

Is it wrong of me to profile and assume what his plans are later?

Did he have a box of trojans too? Good observation though.

No rubbers.

I notice a lot of what people have. I love watching people as weird as that sounds, I know when people are up to something usually.

I'd prolly report it up front. Let the cops look at the video from the store and determine what to do.... No sense waiting to read about someone old couple beat to death in a robbery...

The guy didn't do anything wrong, so there is no reason to report him, but there's nothing wrong with taking notes in case you hear of something. I like how you handled it.

Does seem strange, but it is wallmart at night. I would have made note myself.

Probbly had people look at me strange as well.

Didja get a serruptious cell phone pic of the dude, just in case, follow him outside and get a License Plate # ??? NO?? Prolly a good thing as he'd prolly beat you silly for setting him up.

Did kinda the same thing one time in a hardware store when I was repping for a gun distriubtor, only no cell phones with pics in those days. My ankle holster's occupant in those pre CHL days got his attention and he dumped the stuff in the dumpster in front of me...so I do suspect that he had some nefarious intentions until I showed enough interest to make him change his mind.

Told my customer who owned the hardware store about it, and said he'd cover me with the LEO's if anything came of it. Nothing ever came back about it.

"That's not a real gun, is it Clark?"
"What, are you kiddin'? This is a magnum P.I."
"It's a BB gun."
"Don't try me, I could put an eye out with this thing."

I will say good job on being alert but the guy has done nothing wrong. Don't waste the time of pulling video for the police , they don't care until afterwards.

All those items could be used by a tire changing kind of dude.
