Been hunting a friends place for 7 years now with 2 bucks taken over that time. Always enjoy the time on the property and have the benfit of a comfortable place to stay not far away. Relaxing yesterday morning when I see little movement to one side of a pipeline I hunt. All I see is th back of a deer with its head down. Get the gun up and ready and give out a loud yell, and the head pops up and I shoot. Animal never lurches or makes sudden move and just starts walking off. Take a second shot and still not a lurch or reaction from deer. Wait it out as I do not want climb down 15' after seeing the deer and thinking I may have missed twice? Walkover to the area and can hear heavy breathing and see a head move behind cedars and then fall over. Walk around the tree to fine more then I expected...

20 points and 21 inch spread inside... Christmas definitly came early for me, no pictures on cameras and no one had seen this deer before.

Good old East Texas deer, in Lamar county on a friends property...

Holy crapola!!

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Great buck!

I'm glad he turned out to be legal, since you didn't know what you were shooting lol!

That's a great deer!

Looking for a new lease in the 2016/17 hunting season in South Texas or Edwards Plateau. It would be three people that are family members that have been hunting together for years.
