Hey y'all we got loaded up and me, uncle, dad, and a doctor friend are headed out to Kerrville and meet up with former THFer Insight Hunting. Michael Mitchell. Well be staying the Texana ranch, hunting at Hall and Deer Valley. Also have 4 new hunters, so it should be fun and interesting. Wish us luck! Will try to keep y'all posted.

I'll get em to y'all tomorrow. We got 3 WT spikes, 2 axis doe, and a 19"x18" blackbuck. Dr shot 2 spikes; 30-06. Last spike was a button buck and was my friend's first deer!! 12YO 7th grade FB player with my 64grners. Liver/lung shot and (s)he died about 40yd down the hill. Distance about 60yd. His dad shot the BB from 77yd spot and stalk. I guided him. Darn thing was taking way too long to feed into the clearing. I just told him to wait and that he'd come out. Eventually he did, but hunter was shakin like crazy! First couldn't find in scope. Then told me to shoot. I steadied the gun to the BB and he made perfect shot with the 150gr Interlock. Double lung and heart. 'Knock down, Drag out hunt' lol. I shot Doezilla, the 101.2lb dressed doe(hide on though). 55 gr VMAX. 180ydish shot. Spot and stalked into the herd by myself. She saw me. Lung shot. Ran about 150yd. No blood! We all just prayed and Mr. Mitchell saw her fur shining in the light. He walked up and he thought it was a shed buck!! Uncle shot the other normal doe. He actually missed one cuz of a limb. FB player shot another BB, but 64grners let er get away. No blood. I was going to follow up, but they switched order and she wasn't bleeding. Great hunting and time. We got the whole 9yd; stand, safari, and spot&stalk as well as the deer species. I am thankful to God(duh), Mr. Simone(Texana Ranch), Mr. Mitchell(Ingram PD), and Mr. Tommy Hall(Hall Ranch) for this trip. And of course, y'all for supporting me in my endeavors. And, . We're looking at pics right now. Tomorrow I should get em on a CD, will upload, and then PB and post.

Thanks to your family for an awesome time. Totally worth coming out of semi-retirement to participate in. We hunted a couple of great ranches and planned to hunt WRS but it didn't work out. Maybe next time.
Out of six animals taken, four were shot by first-time hunters. Chital did his usual awesome job and even got to guide some and do some of the dressing/skinning cleanup that I usually do. It was fun having to fight him for the opportunity to bloody my knife, LOL.
