I encountered him twice. Chose not to do business with him because when I pressed on a couple of questions about the properties, his story about them changed. On one property, he wanted too many hunters and when I suggested that, he told me he had to have that many hunters in order to make it worthwhile for him to even show the property. It was all about him.

What part of Young county are you referring to? I used to hunt that area, but don't recognize that name. But there was some guy that came in there and was leasing up land for more than the going rate and just loading up hunters. Seemed like there was a hunter behind every Mesquite. Then, every landowner started raising their per acre rates to a point where there was no point in going there.

Well, I just did that same search...I know the exact properties and people you are asking about, he had a couple of nicknames if memory serves, let me think...the "Bryson Bandit" and "Ole Highway Robbery" (depended on who you ask) he used to be called...I was approached one year about picking up some additional lease land by this guy after season started...got a stern warning from a local about staying away from the deal. Took the advice too...Man, that was many years ago (at least 20 years)...I can't believe this guy is still in operation. Usually the folks who leased from him were packed and leaving by Thanksgiving....
