us army 1983-1988 + us navy 1989-1993. ridden hard, put away wet, totally disabled...but i'm here, and some good friends aren't. got a bro and a nephew in afghanistan now (his son, actually) and my wife leaves for iraq in a couple of weeks. another bro is way worse busted up than i am after 5 combat deployments w/the un and sf. family business...

Wife just retired from AF after 25 years.
We just PCS'd to Texas, been here less than 3 weeks. Came from Eagle River Alaska.

Sorry about the weather. I washed the truck, so hopefully it's all gone now.
Just an update. We come from a military family. My pap served in the Navy during WWII and my dad did 2 yours in Nam as a tunnel rat.
My borther served in the AF for 3 years before getting out and getting his nursing degree.
They all regret not staying in long enough to retire. I'm so glad I made it past 20 years. My dad was a huge influence on me staying in.
Thanks to all who served before us and all who will serve after.
