Won't produce as much heat as denatured alcohol. Also look on the Internet, there are better designs out there than this one.

Lots of times, a lot quicker than the heat tabs. We could always get C4, but ordering heat tabs was like wishing on a star. C4 put the alcohol stoves to shame.

I have made several from the aluminum Budweiser bottles and coke cans. They work great. Denatured alcohol does work best. Rubbing alcohol works but not as good as the other.
