TacCon is going to be releasing a new bump-fire style trigger soon. Pre-order goes on Dec. 1st. I can't wait and I may just dish out the money for it. This looks pretty awesome. Unlike the sliding stocks, this is just a trigger. I believe retail is going to be around 500.00 but no price has been confirmed yet. also, I did a quick search and didn't see anything on it so if there is, my bad.

How is it a bump fire trigger? I can see how the stock doesn't break any ATF rules, but changing the fire control group seems like a no no. Might as well mill the lower out and throw a FA sear in it and be done.

Might as well mill the lower out and throw a FA sear in it and be done. Trigger resets every time and is "pulled" for next round. No need to mill btw, low shelf, RDIAS compatible lowers are the norm now, such as the Spikes.

Wow just got to watch the video. So basically it just makes your gun a select fire weapon, but just operates on the bumpfire operation?

It looks a lot like the took G3S trigger and used a different cam on the safety to keep the trigger from being able to over travel at all in the third position. The reset is so short on the G3S it would easily bump fire like that. I'm guessing someone could file a new notch on a safety with the G3S to do the same thing.....

It has the option for semi only. Then there is the bump-fire mode. I really want this. Not sure if I'll join the pre-order group or if I'll wait until some more reviews come out. I don't want to regret not joining and having to wait an additional 6 months but I also don't want to buy a POS product.

And if you compare it to some of the slide-fire stocks, it's not that high priced.

Well, I got it early on the pre-order - it just looked to fun not to give it a try. Mine came in yesterday and is now sitting in my SBR lower with a 7.5" AA piston upper. I have 300 rounds loaded and ready to go for Saturday morning to give it a try. Hopefully it works out. The semi function feels very nice with a short pull and reset, very similar to my S3G trigger. I'm looking forward to trying the 3rd mode this weekend

I put almost 300 rounds through mine today. It's going to take some getting used to for the brrrrrrap everyone is looking for. Over all its a very quick light trigger and easy to speed up doubles and triples for a three gun type event thanks to the assisted reset. It's not some easy bumpfire trigger that gives full auto. If you hold the trigger too tight as it resets the trigger will stay slightly engaged to the disconnector, so you still have to slightly let off to fire the next round. At the end of my ammo supply the stars aligned and the rhythm was perfect to get the brrrrap instead of very fast bang bang bang. I'm honestly not sure what I did different that time and ran through that mag very quickly without another one to duplicate results.

I looked at the mechanics of the trigger much more at home and can see the issue. In 3rd mode the trigger gets pushed forward but if you hold too hard it has just enough room to rock back onto the tip of the disconnector as the bolt travels home. A very light pull on the bottom of the trigger should correct this issue.

As far as I know this trigger is available only from the manufacturer...to date. The price I last saw was $500. Do you feel like it was worth that much?

I have a feeling the price will go down. Overall it's a very nicely built trigger so I could see pricing for the trigger being around $50 - 100 above the Geissel price for the extra parts and the machined selector. There are several nice triggers out there for $250 - $300 and this one has an extra feature so a high price isn't out of line but I don't think the market will sustain it at $500.

Have you used any other triggers? I'm wanting to see how it compares to the Geissele S3G

I have another question: it looks like the assembly is secured in the receiver using the standard pins. Is that correct? That is a definite plus IMO.

I removed the Geissele S3G from that lower to use the Tac-Con. The Geissele is now in a different lower. The Tac-Con in semi setting is very similar to the Geissele S3G in pull weight and travel.
Yup, it's a self contained trigger assembly so it just used standard pins. I went ahead on put in the KNS anti-walk pins since I had a set sitting there but they shouldn't be needed.
