I just moved here from Louisiana this year so no chance to take a whitetail, but my largest buck taken is a 148 p&y on public land in north Louisiana, sadly I don't have any pics but I will post some as soon as I get him back from the taxi

Wow is right! That's a dandy. In my experience, mounts of really big bucks need to be seen in person to really appreciate them. My brother in the Midwest has a 170 and a 162 on his wall and when you walk into the room it nearly takes your breath away.

BTW, great thread. I sure like seeing nice bucks!

Don't have three but here is my first buck. Shot him this morning about 730. In red river county. Eight pointer, not a clue what he scored was just happy that I killed my first buck off my own property.

Yes small buck but my biggest. I have not had a chance to hunt Texas yet. This is a Washington WT.

Any mature buck is a trophy.

Alot of nice bucks posted here and that is a testament to management.

If you killed any buck that made it to 5 years of age kudos to you, that is something to be proud of, regardless of score

I have never taken a whitetail in Texas. These are my 3 largest, all within the last 13 months. 158, 148, and 131

Here are my two worth mentioning.

Killed in 2009, Bosque County. Little 140ac place.
10 pt, Scored 130 broke off as he was.

Kennedy Co, 2010.
Scored 133, 21" inside, 7.5 years old.

And, this one was just as special, my wife's first buck. I was more nervous than if I was doing the shooting. Dressed 146 lb.
