This photo was taken in Bee County. Time and date are correct. I'm guessing the camera was about 12'-15' away from the animal. I know it's not the greatest photo, but what do y'all think it is, bobcat or young mountain lion?

Bobcat with a longer than normal tail.

That's a mountain lion No doubt. Look at his shoulder blades and head. His tail is the question? Beside him perhaps!

bobat, markings on the back of the ear(black and white) indicate bob, the tail is not a s long as you think, the tail connects to the plant behind giving the allusion that it is longer, and look close the cat has tuffs on his cheeks..also tuffs on the tips of the ears and cat is not full enough to be ML..JMO

There have been Mountain Lions killed in northern Bee County over the years. I would call that a Bobcat though since they have a lot longer tail than you realize.

Why is that, there has got to be a big loss in clarity?
Bobcat.

Bobcat. I don't see anything that even closely resembles a lion except that its a cat.
