Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have Muscular Dystrophy and can not hunt any longer on my own. I would like to find a reasonably priced hunt for a doe and or a cull buck to put some meat in the freezer. I have to hunt from a vehicle or a ground blind due to my mobility limitations. Hopefully within a three or four hours drive from West Fort Worth. If anyone could offer such a hunt, please send me an email with the details.

Thanks J.D. Poulsen

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have spoken to Chad at Buck Creek Outfitters and he is going to call me back with some possible dates for a meat hunt. It sure would be great to put some venison in the freezer.

Thanks Chad,

December 19th would be great for me. I am looking forward to hunting with you and seeing some new country. Putting some meat in the freezer will be a bonus.

I made the motel reservations last night for my son and I. Was able to get a handicapped accessible room. I spoke to Chad today, he was up hunting where I will be hunting and he said the wind was blowing 40 mph and it was snowing hard. Am looking forward to meeting Chad and going hunting! I would prefer the weather would settle down a little but I can borrow a 4wd pickup if need be, I can't wait.

Our hunt has been moved up by one day, we are leaving in less than 48 hours. I still have a lot to do to get ready, I need to get off of the THF and get busy. It looks like the weather is going to be good for our hunt. I will take some photos and post them from the motel room Friday night if possible. My son and I are excited to be going hunting together. We are looking forward to meeting Chad and hunting in the Texas Panhandle!

My son and I got in to Shamrock about 4:30 PM. When we got here there was heavy fog. We just got through eating dinner with the other disabled hunter, Jerry Hart and his wife and infant son. It was great to meet them and we are excited about going hunting. Chad called and is going to drive up in the morning. He said after tomorrow morning’s deer hunt we are going pheasant hunting! That sounds like a lot of fun. I am not sure I can hold up a shotgun for any length of time but if I have trouble my son can take up the slack. Will try and post some photos tomorrow night. We are looking forward to finally meeting Chad and having a great hunt.

We are back from our trip to the Texas Panhandle and had a great hunt! We met Chad Hassell of Buck Creek Outfitters Friday morning and went out for the morning hunt. My 19 year old son went on the hunt as well as another disabled hunter from Houston, Jerry. We hunted hard all day Friday and Saturday morning. Jerry ended up bagging four does and my son and I bagged two does and a button buck. We dropped them off at the processor on the way home and are looking forward to eating a lot of tasty venison. We met some great people and this was the most exciting hunt I have ever been on and it was great to hunt in some prime deer habitat. We saw countless deer, quite a few turkey and a covey of quail. Chad is a great guy and we really enjoyed hunting with him, he is a true professional. He showed us some photos of some of the big whitetail bucks his clients have taken and they were impressive! Chad went out of his way to insure that I was able to have a successful hunt. With my mobility limitations, that is not an easy thing to do. Without Chad’s and his friends help, I would not have been able to go hunting at all this year and I am grateful for their generosity. Being able to share the hunt with my son made it all the more special. Thanks Chad, I hope we can do it again sometime!

Awesome! I'm really glad everything went well and you put some meat in the freezer! Plus, being able to spend time in the woods with your son was an added bonus! Congrats on the great trip!

Way to go Chad.

Frank and I drove up to Crowell TX yesterday to pick up our venison at the deer processor. Frank grilled some bacon wrapped tenderloins last night. Man that was some good eatin! Thanks again Chad for a great hunt and for all of the great venison. We are going to be eating well that is for sure.
