people who trap cut their ears off. when the catch dogs goes to catch a ear he will get slung and/or cut, ours usuallys then goes for the nose if they cant get a ear. Not good.

Some times if they are born when it's really cold it will freeze there tails an ears off ,
Have seen boars fighting an gettin ears tore off
Also seen people cut ears off ,

Yeah this is the first time we have gotten him on a game camera. I thought everyone would enjoy these pictures. If I kill him I will mount him and make him a center piece on the dining room table for my wife to look at LOL!!

When I was younger in east Tx. (Newton, Jasper) we cut nuts and ears off the boars and the tails off sows so the let time we saw them. We knew it was a good meat hog.

We use to catch hogs and cut their ears and turn them loose. Makes for a heck of a hunt next time.

i actually shot the hog! trying to post my pic with it to claim Victory. (Hubby did help with finishing him off though...shhh). Couldn't find any blood so we figured I missed him, but just a little ways into the brush we actually walked up on him within 30-40 yards I had gut shot him and he was angry!
