He should have carried a long gun. That is legal.
If OC(Open Carry) for pistols gets passed, then he will be fine.
He was arrested for doing an illegal act.

I know when I go out hunting and shooting I have my holster and mag carrier on my belt. I take the gun and mags out, but leave the holsters on because I don't feel like taking them off and on. I get some weird looks when I go into gas stations and food places. Had a women stare at me in what-a-burger like I was going to shoot the place up for what seemed like for ever. So I just stared right back until she looked away.

I can see taking the gun out of the holster but do you need to take your mags out of the pouch? It isn't illegal to carry just mags is it?

It's called a "Concealed" handgun license, not an "Almost Concealed" handgun license!
You think he knew he was border line or was he one of those who subconsciously wanted to advertise?

You think he knew he was border line or was he one of those who subconsciously wanted to advertise? He was supposedly trying to conceal it under a black leather vest but the vest was open. I have a feeling he was aware of what he was doing and that the gun was flashing.

I had ran to the store/gas station & was in a hurry to get there & back. I nearly walked inside strapping a snub-nose 38+P. I caught myself at the door & quickly walked back to my truck & put it away. I gave myself a good butt chewing for that, could have gotten in a lot of trouble if Johnny Law was there & saw me. Whew.....

I carry my Glock 17 with Insight M6 light/laser on it. I forget its even there and with the light/laser and 18 rounds it is a pretty heavy gun.

Perhaps some people need some remedial training on the "Concealed" portion of the CHL course.
