Not sure how it would do at 270 velocity but i would assume fine. I have used a 110 in 25-06 with great results.

I know a lot of folks use the 110 Accubond in the 257 Wby without too many complaints. I'm assuming the 270 velocity would be pretty close to the 257 at around 3400 - 3500fps.

Not trying to hijack, but what about the .270 WSM as well?

Preaty sure the 110gr was made for the 6.8spc

Having said that I dont see why it wouldnt work, after all the accubond needs velocity to get full effect.

I shoot 140gr accubonds in .270win and would like to see what the 110gr will do, and it would probably be a GREAT idea for guys who hunt smaller bodied south texas deer.

I think one of the strengths of the .270win is that until the 6.8spc came out ALL .270win bullets were designed for the .270 velocities.

Looking at the data I have for the 270s with 110 gr bullets max loads are
270 Win 3300+
270 WSM 3400+
270 WBY 3500+

Fast enough to be interesting, if you can get them to shoot good from your 270s I see no reason 110gr Accubonds should not work and hold together well enough at normal hunting ranges.

Yeah, i ran the 110TTSX in my 270 a few years ago, never pulled the trigger on game and sold the rifle off..

But 110 at 3400 FPS sure seemed like a mean setup!
They don't have a higb BC but inside 400 yards that is really irrelevant...

I have been shooting some reduced load 110 grain pro hunters through my 270 win for my wife for the past 2 seasons muzling around 2600 fps. They shoot really well. I think the accubond will do fine and should shoot well also.
