Does this sound about right for a flight path for a 308win 2" high at 100 0 at 200 6" low at 300

I was testing a fixed 12x scope this afternoon before hunting. Out of my rifle with 150 gr remington. Trajectory was approximately +2 @ 150, 0 @ 200, -4 @ 250, -10 @ 300
I was shooting 20" barrel so might have lost some velocity. Did not chrono rounds.
Your numbers seem reasonable to me.

That is actually good for a 308 and from my shooting the ones I have had very few factory loads are actually that flat, usually see one to 3 inches more drop than that at 300.

Seems pretty flat to me. I hand load 168 grains at max and its not as flat as that.

No projectile flies "flat", yes some drop less than others, but that's it. Consistancy is THE most important thing, and the .308 is consistant all the way to 500 yards. I've sent thousands of them that far, and farther, and have obseved the .308 have the same trajectory no matter the environmental conditions. Put my scope on your rifle, I'll dial to 3.0 Mils (54") and wear out 500 yards, no problem. If your rifle shoots that ammo consistantly, stick with it.

Nothing's is wrong with that... i know a. 308 cant hit 4 in apart from 100 to 300 but i like the 2 high and 6 in low better.... in the big picture my wife will he shooting it so 300 and in center mass will be a kill shot.... at 100 aim center mass and 300 yard aim high vitals wile everything in between will be ctr vitals..... i got my weapons shot in just never messed with a 308 before... all i have and had in mags and my 270 wby mag is a whole different ball game... the smallest round i shoot is a 5.56 NATO and j can dial that it with a M4 easy....

I had the chance to shoot at 1000 yd range one time. I had to have just under 400 inches to change from 100 yd zero to 1000 yd zero.

Nothing wrong with a 200 yard zero on a hunting rifle.
I'm assuming you have a duplex reticle, yes? If it is fine in the center and has heavy posts you can make it into a hold over reticle. You can set up a yard stick at 100 yards, look at it through the scope and see where the heavy posts sight on the yard stick. Say you've got the cross on the 18" line, the lower post is 3" below ad the upper post is 3" above (making up those numbers). That can give you a way to hold over and under from your 200 yard zero. So you will actually have 3 points of aim in the duplex reticle.
Remember, with a second focal plane scope, those measurements will only subtend at that power setting on the magnification. When you change magnification the measurements change.

Federal has a drop chart on the 175 SMK at 2600 fps..shows .5 in high at 100,dead on at 200 and about 3 in low at 300 and 15in plus at 400 at 2600 fps. My 26in bbl TRG dead on at 100 and holding at the 300yd mil dot on my Leupold Mark IV put me about 8 in low at 300 yds..so I'd think that their data isn't for our area..DD

..so I'd think that their data isn't for our area..DD I agree. If I remember correctly, I get 8.25 inches drop with it .5 high at 150 yards using a warm load with a 168 24 inch barrel. Working from 100 with a light load(41 grains 4895), 28" barrel with a 178 gets 3.25 MOA dialed for 300 bull. Thats roughly 9 7/8 drop.
Never had a dog fail me yet.
End dog fighting.
