Okay, I stole this line from the American Rifleman in the Questions and Answers section but if you could get any of the gun manufacturers to produce something you want right now, what would it be? I mean something that is a production model that you think is worthwhile or a firearm that you simply want. My choice would be a 10MM from S&W in their M&P line of semi automatics. I like this design and since they already have several calibers in several different barrel lengths it shouldn't be hard for Smith to make a 10. But they don't. So lets hear yours and remember that this would be a production model that wouldn't break the bank to own and shoot and doesn't exist in the market today

I want a feature instead of a gun. I want to where after the slide locks back, I eject the spent mag. When I insert a fresh one. The mag itself unlocks the slide without having to use the slide release.

that would be easy to do grasshopper...just grind on the slidestop of your gun where it barely catches so when you slap that new mag in , it drops the slide.. laugh

I had it happen to me once. I guess the slide stop wasn't all the way up in the notch. When I popped the mag in. The slide closed.

It's was pretty cool. I was shooting a Ruger P89. The slide release is easy to work anyway. But something like a Glock. Where the slide release is a pain to work. That would be the thing to have.

One less step. Just pop the mag in, pull the trigger

you should try a P7 then grasshopper...you drop the slide on one of them by simply squeezing the gun...but you have to remember to rest your grip if you have shot it back to lockback

A semi auto Ruger .22LR pistol with about a 30 round magazine that is concealable.

Got some interesting responses.

I would like to see more factory rifles with magazine cross compatibility. I think Remington would be smart to offer a factory 700 that accepted M14 mags and another that takes AR15 mags.

Be a handy thing for a truck gun.

I set all one mine to do this. Just polish the top rear corner of the slide stop. Take it slow....polish, try.....polish, try till you get it. If you take to much metal off them the slide lock won't work at all.

It is a very nice feature when shooting a glock in competition.

I want a 25 magnum rimfire capable of pushing a 55 grain bullet 2000 fps from a 6 to 7 1/2 inch barrel.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Ruger #1 and a model 37 Ithaca, I'm a righty but could live with both.

This!! Mossberg makes the MVP that is a genius idea, but I do wish Remington made one as well.

A nice short Lever gun in 357 Maximum.

Hornady to make a 130gr flextip bullet for the 7-30 Waters.

Since we now have a source of bullets in 5mm Remington Mag, CZ to make a varmint version chambered for it.

What about the 22 TCM? It's pretty close to what you're looking for, except it's centerfire and 22 cal.

Target, Dewd! thanks for the info...

ok...does this mod work everytime/all the time? I mean is it reliable?

You don't have to fumble with it every now and then?

It's really nice not having to either rack the slide to get it off the stop or almost tear the pad of my finger using the lever on a glock.

By any chance you have a pic of the slide notch?
