Picking this little girl up on Friday. Trying to decide on a good hunting name for a female puppy. I like Lucy but my wife isn't sold on it. Thoughts?

My 2 current ones are Lucy and Baily

I had a male beagle named Rusty
There has only one pet of mine that didnt get a "people" name and it is baily's pup named troubles.....and she is a handful
Be careful with the name because they can live up to it.
I personally find it hard to name a pet without knowing the personality firsthand...usually only takes a few minutes to figure out.
I always liked the name Sadie (say-dee)
Winnie would be a girly name for Winchester
Marley for Marlin
I think CUTIE fits her well
Oh and if you have never had a Beagle before...
they are VERY smart and can be VERY stubborn. Be firm and consistant with commands. And start with CRATE TRAINING. This the single BEST THING I learned to do. it make the other traning go very smooth.

Regal. Owned one many years ago. During Christmas, the wife would Christmas wrap a dog treat and hide it under the tree. Let the dog in and it took all of 10 seconds for her to find it.
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

Looks just like mine.
We named ours Josey... as in the outlaw josey whales, the name fits well!
I have absolutely loved my beagle, the perfect mix of big and little dog for me. Hope you enjoy her. They can be little terrors and mine really likes to bite when you play rough with her, however she does really well with children.

Whats her personality like? She serious, goofy, meatheaded, hyper? Half there name comes from there personality.

Rose is easy, and another thing to make life easier after the crate training is any time you are holding or handling her, mess with her feet. Beagles are very funny about people touching their feet. This will help when it is time to cut the nails or clean the feet after a trip outside. Beagles are very vocal encourage her to "talk" to you and see her personality. Love me some Beagle Dog! You will enjoy your new buddy.

Bella is good and when she's busy being a PITA it's a good name to yell verses a name without hard consonants.
