Anyone have any trail cam pics from out around Junction or Kimble County Area. Have hunted Fredericksburg for 20 years have switched leases for a year to try a new area. Making a trip next week to check feeders and get trail cam pics. Would like to see anyone elses photos from the area. I take pride in shooting trophy deer for the area in which I'm hunting. Just trying to get a good feel for what I'm looking for come Nov.

lots of deer in the area.

should be similar to maybe a little bigger than fredricksburg area body wise.

Stuff my dad said in the deer blind

"I can dive deeper and come up drier"
"did you do that?"

i hunt in London. don't expect the free range deer to get over 140" lots of pressure. we feed protein year round and are pretty conservative with our buck shooting. neighbors are on mld low fence and we kill a few 130's each year. biggest ever was 144 i think.

Interesting to read about the Junction area. I was looking at possibly purchasing some property in the Junction or Rock Springs area. Was curious why so much land was for sale and a lot of it for around $1K / acre or so. Definitely not "cheap" but not as high as other areas either. Is it because of it being out in no mans land or are there other issues, like being somewhat closer to the border and having problems with illegals? Any problems with hunting cabins or trailers getting broken into are there?

We have a section between Junction and Telegraph that has been in the family for about 20 years. Never seen any sign of wets and our cabin has never been broken into. The deer and axis are healthy but nothing world class by far. The hog population just started to grow about 4 years ago. No pics, haven't pulled my cards in a while.
Where is this $1k/acre land?

Good to know and glad to hear that. I did a web search for "land for sale juncton texas" and also replaced junction with "edwards county" and I find many, many listings. We hunted near junction last year with a friend (who also guides on several properties in the area) and my wife shot a "Gold" axis buck. Her first game kill, lol. Anyway, first time that far southwest and really liked the terrain so my wife wanted me to start looking for possible places to purchase.
