OK I'll throw a new wrinkle into the equation. I don't mean for this to be ugly in any way but for all those that are convinced that it's a terrible thing to do; what about a female urinating by the stand. Is it all the same or do the different hormones make a difference? I've heard some interesting stories and opinions concerning female hunters. Especially at certain times!!!!!! MC

I've conducted several lab test under closed conditions, and I have found out that any female close to a deer stand while during those special times is astounding.Deer actually scent these changing conditions, and are at at peak during the mentioned times. However, they do get put off, by the nagging, constant complaining, and generally foul mood of said target bait. In my research it is better to leave said specimen at home for the weekend to enjoy chick flicks, laying in bed all day and eating like there is no tomorrow. While said specimen has it's advatages, it's not worth the carry over effect from this maladay. Prof. Spanky (entertainment value only)

My father in law has a funnel in his box blind with a hose that runs through the floor and out on the ground below. Its a redneck urinal. He kills plenty of deer. So, i guess it doesn't matter.

From what I heard all urine smells the same. Although I don't think this applies to animals or humans in heat. When I bow hunted I carried a ziplok and dumped it out on the fire mounds on the way back to camp. Now I just let it fly.

I know I have spooked more deer shuting the blind door after peeing out of it than the peeing did. I dont try to pee in/around stand, but i fugure climbing down and walking 100 yards in to woods would be more likely to spook deer than piss.

From what I heard all urine smells the same. Heck, my smells different from day to day. Some days vitamins, some days asparagus.

In 2007 I just got into the blind and realized that I hadnt gone to the bathroom that morning. about 20 minutes later i felt like I was going to explode so I opened up the door and went right out the back this was about 545am. at 615 the largest deer I have killed to date walked out broadside at 65 yards. 148 10pt 23 3/4 wide. I just saying!

A empty detergent bottle makes a great pee holder, even has a funnel for the less endowed. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> [/quote] HAHAHAHAHAHA!

when I was in college we decided to play a trick on a buddy by saving urine in a 5 gallon bucket. Three days before the season opened we poured the whole bucket around his stand and feeder. No effect at all. He still killed deer but asked several times if there was a sewage processing plant in the area. We never told and I am convinced that it does not matter

never noticed it affecting the deer, matter of fact i had old timers tell me they pee in the scrapes of deer when they find them. they say your urine has testostrone in it same as a bucks and that will attract them. But never seen a study done on it either.

Just had to chime in... was talking about this topic with my wfe a few minutes ago sharing what everyone elses take on the subject was and I said no way I'm peeing near my stand. She then told me she peed right next to her stand about 20 minutes before she killed her first buck last year( a nice 8 point ) . Just one of those things that make you say Hmmmmmmm....
