All dog proof, I plan on glueing a cap on the other end and running a wire from that so I an stake it. I tried out the first one I made and got my finger stuck, hurt like crap. It took me forever to get it out and 30 min later my finger still hurts, so it should work.

Yrs ago we used bolks of wood...Drill a hole, put nails in it at angle...stuff corn in the bottom...small cable to tree, and ready to catch coons...they work well...

will they really push through the nails? is it the angle that lets them go in but not out
