26" Krieger 1-9 223
Mega Billet Side Charge Upper
Young National Match BCG Side Charge
Mega Billet Charging Handle
Stag Gas Block
and gas tube

Parts are on order besides hand guard. Still not sure on this yet. But I have started with parts purchase. $$$$$$$$ Wow this is expensive.

That will be one long/big gun! Should be a tack driver though

Not worried about length. Can cut down whenever I want. I can't add it though. For shooting off a bench with is not a big deal.

Would be an excellent bench gun!
I have a really strong itch for the AR platform but to chase that much of a tack driver i think i would just pick up a solid remi 700

But like you said you do have the option if cutting it down. I think a crowned 20" is perfect!

I have a full custom Panda action 6ppc 10.5 lb bench gun now. I have shot quite a few groups in the .1's if conditions are good, still learning to read the wind. I am an accuracy freak. I have plenty of walking guns. Just trying something outside the box. I just hoping the accuracy is there.

Very nice. I just noticed something today that might be a problem. My Brownells upper vice block came in today. I am not sure it will hold that Mega billet that I have coming for tightening barrel nut. Any ideas? It might fit but not sure.

Why wouldn't it fit ?

I just looked at the block and your probably right, the mega side upper is WAY thicker!
I used the one that acts as lower

I am assuming the outer diameter would be bigger of the Mega billet upper. I might be completely wrong. The vice I got clamps on the outer side of upper receiver.

Here is the difference , it might work though cause the mega doesn't have brass deflector or forward assist

a regular block usually doesn work with a billet upper as they are not usually to milspec outer dimensions.
Run into this before
I have a Seekins billlet upper coming and anticipate the same

Personally, I dont think you gain any performance from a billet over a forged upper or lower
they are cooler for sure though!

I used to have a 24" upper for an AR it was stupid accurate but it was only a bench gun. I'm sure you'll have fun with it though.

Parts are in. Very nice quality. Still have not picked a handguard yet. Still trying to find something that will go with the billet upper. I dont mind doing a little machining on it. Looking pretty hard at Samson Evo. Any recommend a good quality handguard?
