I hope you are kidding, always got to be someone negative, I will do exactly what I said in the original add. Stay tuned guys I will let you know by the end of the day what the dates are, thanks for yalls patience. The ( ) should give you an indication. We were all waiting for your response.

Ok guys I am sorry I've been trying to figure out the soonest I can start. I was wanting to start this friday but I think it will be pushing it. So I am going to officially open the hunts on Wednesday the 25 of April for both morning and afternoon I will honor the $100 per gun hunt to all that have responded to this point. After those hunts I will be increasing the prices not to exceed $215 for a half day hunt through July 2012. If I can get everything ready to have the start date this friday then I will IM you in the order you IM me for your requested hunt date. I can't wait to meet all of you, We will have a blast, I will provide drinks and some food and we will all get a limit. it will be quail only until September then it will be pheasant and chukar as well. Please IM me your requested date and your contact info. Thanks again for yalls patience.

Mike, So is the 25 the only day those of us that have responded can get in on the low price? I do not think I can get there by that date, in fact I know I can't, I have a fishing tournament that weekend. Also, it is quail only which is great, can we also book a hunt at $215 for after Sept. for pheasant and chukar?

April 25 is the first day through july for quail only and I will honor the $100 per gun for those that have responded through yesterday. Starting in September it will be pheasant and chukar for everyone. I am going to do a reduced rate through July I will announce that later today. Thanks

I don't want to offend anyone with this statement. Before you make plans you should realize the weather is going to be to hot to hunt over dogs during the summer. If it wasn't for that fact this would be an extremely good deal.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

I work dogs all summer, we will need to start early in the morning or very late in the evening in June and July If it is like last summer then it will be morning only I will make that call then. If you are not satisfied with the hunt in any way, you will not pay. I have hunted quail and trained field trial dogs for 20 years and I am very excited about starting this hunting preserve. It will be trial and error and we will be at the mercy of the weather. I wanted to get a jump start on the new season that starts in September by building a customer base that can spread the word that we do a good job and by pricing the hunt for the cost of the birds makes it fair because it is a little warmer plus I have hunted quail in November in 90 degree weather. Thanks again for all of you that have booked hunts and to all of you that have made positive comments you have helped me get a start on a great thing. Hope to hunt with you soon

I'm in no way doubting you. Just personal experince of having to run the dogs at day break over the hot summer months. Plus I would have to put out large tubs of water for them to get in and cool off. Sounds like you have nothing but good intentions and I wish you well on your new adventure. Be sure to post up some pictures. I love to see dogs pointing and working the fields.

Man this sounds great. I have a place just north of Lampasas. Are you booked for the weekend of Spring Ho? My family will all be there that weekend and it would be fun to do a hunt.

I would be interested in the pheasant/quail hunt this fall/winter. I live just south in Cedar Park/Leander area. Short drive.

Let me know if this deal is still available?? I'd like to get on some quail and pheasants..
the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

i hunted with Mike this morning along with 3 of my friends. we got out there about 6:45 am and were done around noon. we were the first group to hunt with him and he went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. hats off to his son Luke as well. he was a big help to us and worked hard to keep the dogs fresh and cooled off. Mike's putting together a real top notch operation and treated us extremely well. i will absolutely make another trip back. we hunted in the morning until we got tired of walking and shooting. then we had some awesome camp breakfast followed by skeet shooting up on the hill. his place is set up really well for upland bird hunting and we had a blast. a few hundred acres with nice pastures and different areas for the birds to find cover and shade. nice draws and creek crossings as well. we had no shortage of birds to shoot at and they flew just like i remembered them flying wild as a kid. i think we ended up with 50 birds between the 4 of us. we would have had more, but one of the guys had trouble shooting straight (no... not me this time) sorry, no pictures, as we all forgot to take the cameras out of our bags while out there. this hunt would have been worth every penny at the regular price. cant wait to smoke some of the quail for dinner soon. if anyone wants any more info on our hunt, feel free to pm me. Jay
