Here! Duval County. I just need to pack some clothes tonight and off in the morning. Took my vacation and wont be back until next weekend. SWEET! and the wife is not even nagging me that I will be gone that long.

Not hunting opening weekend for the first time since... well... ever.
Have had a busy year and haven't had a chance to get out to my place, much less fill feeders, since the spring. I am planning on going up there this weekend to check on things and see how many neighbors have feeders on the fenceline (a fact that ruined my hunting last year).
Somewhat taking this year off. Usually I hunt my place 1-3 days per week, just driving back and forth from home each hunt. This year I'm going out for a couple of longer hunts on friends ranches and not putting the effort into my place.
It's a strange feeling.

Leaving Friday afternoon and time could not move any slower. I have been hunting all month and have already killed 2 deer and a pig with my bow but there is just something different about opening of rifle!
