I got a bunch of doves this weekend and wanted to know if anybody has some good Crock Pot Recipes??? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks food

I only got 3. If you'll give me some, I'll give you my recipe.

Seriously, I call mine "Dove Stew". I'm sure you could make it in a Crock Pot.

Dove Breasts (removed from bone and cut in half - bite sized pieces)
Flour
Chopped Onion
Chopped Celery
Crushed Tomatoes (or Rotelle)
Chicken Stock
Frozen Mixed Vegetables (or fresh)
Favorite Spices:
Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Parsley, Garlic, Salt, Pepper, Whatever you like.

Salt and pepper the breasts and lightly coat with flour.

Fry in a little oil until browned and remove from pan.

In the oil, saute onion and celery until turning limp, add crushed tomatoes, chicken stock, vegetables, herbs and spices and breasts.

Simmer until the breasts and vegetables are tender. You may want to add tomato sauce or paste.

Just make carne guisada, but use dove. It's divine.
