Don't quote me but I think there is a way to get a permit to remove some legally. Would have to jump thru hoops to get one I am sure. But otherwise no you can't. I would let them clean up the mess.

We had the permits at one time, a long, long time ago. They can be hard to get. At that time it was nothing to see 300 or so in large swarms in our area. It would look like a large migration or something going on. We had to have a biologist come out a few times and observe it and then about 4 months later we got permits for 8.

For your problem, it's not worth the trouble of messing with.

The black headed vultures hang out in groups and are nuisances for sheep, goat, and cattle ranchers. They are very aggressive and causing ranchers to look for ways to control them. Here is the US Fish & Wildlife Service form to fill out for anyone interested in doing it the legal way. http://www.fws.gov/forms/3-200-13.pdf

I had a flock of those black head vultures kill a newborn calf a couple years ago. They are more aggressive than the "buzzards". I go t me a donkey and put with the cows. There is not a vulture or a coyote that doesn't get chased off now. Darndest thing, that donkey is territorial...Maybe that's why my neighbors have feral hogs and I never see any. Never thought about that.

I go to Bone Daddy's for the burgers....yeah, that's why.

You can kill them but it has to be with the front end of your truck.

My neighbor tried to hit one with his car and it flew up and busted his windshield.

Killed it dead as a hammer but he needed a new windshield.
