Okay, been looking for this thing we call a Dove...

I have some pinned down, but just not seeing the numbers yet like we typically do at this time?

Just wondering if I ain't the only one?

I live in Dallas and am in S. Texas right now and drove down here...I saw a lot off the tollway in ATX(the one you use to avoid Austin) and there are a bunch S. Of San Antonio. Only seen them in the evening though. I will be making a "Business Trip" down this way in late sept.

We had a ton of birds show up over the last week. We have got several fields that are covered right now and a bunch of scattered birds.

Saw some down in Marble Falls this past weekend. But not many in between. Don't think I even saw a sunflower on the drive back. Just a nice 500 acre brush fire and a TPWD heli circling it...

I was out at the lease the other day and saw quite a few at the tank. If you have a tank with any water left, there should be a few birds.

I'm seeing alot of birds around water puddles and even larger tanks. Have yet to check the cut wheat and corn fields.

My place is just south of where that 130 tollway ends. I have 2 soil conservation lakes on the property that are 35 and 25 acres, respectively, when full. Right now they are down to prolly 15 and 10 due to the drought. But all of the other smaller tanks in the area are bone dry. A plethora of Milo and uncut corn is all around the property on adjacent fields. Birds are everywhere and it is gonna be an barrel melter on the opener. Woo to the hoo!!

I have been seeing large groups in South Texas, its tough to pattern them because of the lack of water. They move daily.

I have a place outside of Miles in Runnels county that has some unreal whitewing numbers. Has irrigated milo, sunflowers and water. It oughta be 30 minute limits if a big rain doesnt mess it up. But, I will take the rain any time it's ready to come.

Checked the fields in Waller Thursday, we've got birds.

Looking off my front porch 5 min ago, counted 47 on the power line between here and the pool (stock tank) 75 yards away in front of my house

Along NM state line looks about like it did last year. Every bird we bagged last year was coming from town to feed and returning to town to water/roost. You just had to get in the flight path.

I am wondering if a 30 gallon tub of water at the edge of the field would be considered baiting this year muyloco
