The powderhorn in San Antonio, nice selection and helpful staff. In Laredo…maybe Kirkpatrick guns and ammo when the staff is not having a bad day. There was are real good shop here with a real smith for a while but it closed down a while back.

Weber's here in Temple has a lot of product and knowledgable staff. That's where I made my last major purchase although I could have got a better deal somewhere else...I did it to support a local business.

Do they still have the place down town, or did they move everything north of town off 35??

Dury's Gun Shop 819 Hot Wells San Antonio, Texas 78223 I've bought and traded several pistols and long guns from these folks and they are the most helpful and friendly people I've dealt with. Customer service is second to none, and they have a lifetime warranty on all new and used guns they sell. I used them recently to ship a firearm FFL to FFL and it was trouble free, and they cheerfully handled it over the phone for me. Cost me $35.00 for the transfer which isn't that bad, and the cheaper place I found before them, gave me a run around so I went where I should have in the first place and got ur done! Some say they are too high on their prices, but although I'll admit they are a little more expensive than most, you can find good deals if you look around a little and check back now and then, but the way they treat the customer makes paying a little extra worth it. They know there stuff and shoot you straight. Gunsmithing available. . Prices are better than Bass Pro, and you get the service that is deserved. If they tell you they guarantee the gun, they will.

Tom's Gun Shop loacted in Emory TX was good to me. They broght out a few pistols I had bought and shipped to them when I was not able to get around. They also do the CHL classes and I will be attending as soon as I can. Their website is Tomsgunshop.com

There is one in North Richland Hills. It is Fort Worth Firearms. They are a new and small gun store with a lot of potential. They are looking for a place to set up in the area but hasn't found a place yet. He has a website at: fortworthfirearmsllc.com but it is still under construction. They hope to have it going better than it is now within 2 weeks. He is a super guy and will help with anything that you need. He has access to many warehouses and is usually able to beat any price on any gun. You can get other info at his website. He is also listed on Gun Broker.
