This morning he was out fishing and crusing across the lake when his trolling motor deployed at 50mph. It is now sitting on the bottom of Toledo Bend Lake. He just bought the gun and hates having to sell it, but he said that fishing is the only thing keeping him sane after returning home. He said he has only put around 75 rounds through it. Includes the gun with all accessories, 2 12rnd mags as well as a 15rnder. He has $875 into it and still has all paperwork and receipts. He is looking for $700 to replace the trolling motor.

Pete-I sent him a PM. I'll chip in some money, if we can get some other folks to join in, and he can keep his pistol. THAT WOULD BE AMAZING! He is a deserving guy who never asks for anything in return for his service, and does not look at his sacrifices as heroic. He did one tour in Iraq then re-upped for a second. Once he was through with that one he re-upped for Afghanistan. He is back state side now in the process of moving back to DFW with his wife and girls.

I would contribute as well. Post this on the TFF, I'll bet someone has a TM for sell over there. Once we get a price, then maybe enough of us can chip in a buy it for him.

If this fellow is wanting a brand new in the box trolling motor i own a small boat shop in Waco I will donate some cash as well and sell the trolling motor at dealer cost and have it delivered to his front door as well if this will help.
