need to extend into February.

Took a ride to Cabelas via I-35, but on the return trip took the toll road due to road construction on 35. Every tank I saw had birds on it. Unbelievable.

And no, I don't have pics.

Hopedale They have been there since the first bitter cold front came through. They are also on both rivers that I cross on Toll 130.

Hopedale, "what are you doin in my back yard!"

Seriously, I've been going nuts around here seems like 20-30k birds flew in the first weekend of feb. Makes me wish I had a good camera.

I took my little digital camera to a couple of ponds that are a stones throw from la casa, to get some pics of the devils.

Just like duck hunting, when I put the camera in my jacket they buzz my head, get the camera out and wait for 15 mins and nothing, put the camera away they buzzed my head again. I only got 1 pic with my crappy camera but it was cool to see em flyin all around my head.

Sure gets me ichin' to buy a good camera for the off season, I'd like to go hunting in the off season camo and all armed with just my camera.

-Matt

duck season was canceled in central Texas, due to lack of birds wanting to stop by for a visit. No central season next year

Negativity is no way to to plan for the next year. Mods should be positive and encouraging to the rank-in-file. coach

Well, next season may need to be un-officially extended. No tags needed. You do need to be ready to leave the area quickly if observed. nuts

On a serious note, there has got to be enough data to show the migration patterns have changed, and the season can continue into February. Make it drakes only after Jan 31.

And with pics like this

I don't care to hear the arguement of pair bonding. Suzie will find more than enough takers.

Propose that one to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, seriously doubt they would look the other way when it comes to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
