What would your choice be? Going on a 7mm

Burris Fullfield II 4x14x44
Vortex Viper 4x12x40
Nikon Buckmaster 4x12x40

Probably Burris from your list, but if it was me, I'd go with a Leupold. Remember, you get what you pay for, and optics are more important than the rifle its self.

Don't skimp on your scope. I had a 7mm with a Simmons scope and the scope would not stay on-target. I've not herd of the Vortex, so with what you listed, I'd go with the Nikon.

Keep in minde, Cabela's or Academy has some good deals on Leupold scopes tomorrow. I saw it in today's paper, just can't remember which one it was.

Also, get a rings and base made of steel.

Hard choice, all have lifetime warranty, clarity on glass...

Guess it comes down to $$$$$$

Of the list a Burris is my choice. I have a FF2 on my 798 and it's never been anything but great. If you're open to suggestions a leupold is worth saving up a little extra for. I have multiple VX-3's and doubt I will ever purchase a different brand.

Of the three, the Vortex hass the best glass. The Burris and Nikon are both also good scopes. It would be hard to go wrong with any of them. Might want to see which has the best eye relief and factor that into your consideration. Scope eye isn't fun!

Oh forgot to mention Spot-on from Nikon. It's a great system to tell you approx. where your bullet will bit a different yardage. Check it out:http://www.nikonhunting.com/SpotOnRegistration/

It helped in making my decision for which scope

I would go with leupold anytime, but have heard nothing but great things about nikon's buckmasters from being rugged to exc. glass for the price. my buddy just bought a 6x18 buckmaster on ebay for $280 and loves the scope so far.

I have both the Vortex and the Burris. I would say about even on glass quality. However, feel like if I have a problem down the line the Vortex people will take care of me better. That unconditional no fault warranty is hard to beat!

I go to Bone Daddy's for the burgers....yeah, that's why.

The Vortex Viper is superior to the Nikon Buckmaster. I have no experience with the Burris so I can't speak to it. The Viper is also superior to Leupold VXII and in my opinion is close to on par with Leupold VXIII.

In that order. I have the Burris and have looked at the Vortex. Both great scopes for the money

#1 Vortex Viper

#2 Burris FF-II

#3 Nikon

All are good scopes, none are a bad choice. The Viper has a little better glass, and the Vortex warranty is second to none.

I like a 4x12 scope but also wouldn't mind going with a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x44.
They are all in roughly the same price range.

All i use and or buy is Burris, so my vote goes to that (if it ain't broke don't fix it). Do any of your buddies have any of these scopes your listing by chance? It would be good if you could shoot a rifle with the various scopes so YOU can determine which will work the best.

If a 3-9 would satisfy you, then get the Zeiss Conquest by all means. I would personally give up the 3x and get the Conquest.

I do have a friend that shoots the Burris ffII and have shot his. They seem very good to me. I also have a nikon buckmaster 3x9 on a rifle that's good as well.

I just need to buy one and be happy!

I was thinking about a vortex, but went with zeiss conquest 3x9x40. Both are fine scopes but very happy with my choice.
