Great news from Academy Sports & Outdoors! Academy is now sponsoring a THF monthly photo contest with $100 gift certificates. We will also award a grand prize winner of the next 12 monthly photo contest winners, running May 2007 through April 2008. The grand prize winner gets an additional $500 gift certificate from Academy. To submit a photo for consideration, email general_mail@texashuntingforum.com. Photos must be a minimum of 750 pixels wide, 750 pixels tall and in .jpg format. They need to be clear and in focus. Grainy photos will generally not be chosen. We will post as many in the cover rotation as we can, but only one will be chosen each month as the official winner. Good luck to all! And a big THF thank you to Academy Sports & Outdoors for sponsoring the photo contest!

John Hardin is the May winner. You can turn in photos any time. No need to turn them in twice, as they are kept on file. We go to the file every time we pick a winner.

It's very rare that I don't get a photo sent in. They are filed and permanently left in the contest. Unfortunately, since we are running 3 different monthly photo contests, I don't have time to send confirmations on the 100s of photos received each month.

If you can do what he can do, the Navy will give you one for free...
I like the front grip that drops to a bipod, but don't have one....yet. Oh, and that's not an AR...Navy calls it an M-16A2E4....with some fancy stuff.

Story behind this pic. This was on opening day of dove season two years ago. We stayed up all night drinkin the day before... decided not to go to sleep cuz we wouldn't be up in time... drove out to tioga at 330 in the mornin... called for some coyotes till sun up and started killlllllin some birds... by 3 we'd had way tooo many birds.... look over at my Jeep and Adam was passed out on the ground... looks like a realtree commercial... dont think this is ever gonna win but just a fun time i guess...

Do not sign up additional user names to vote. If you are caught doing so, your accounts will be suspended.
Also, please do not campaign for winners. Just judge the photos based on your individual preferences.

I guess I should have made an announcement about the vote, not too many people participated, but time is up and we have a winner. Russ Sander's photo of his wife that was featured as the March cover photo winner is also the Academy grand prize winner. The Sanders won a $500 gift certificate.
