None seen or heard SW of Graham, southern Young County. They just vanished 5 years ago and never recovered. I don't think there is anything left on or near our place to recover from.

Seen two good coveys while dove hunting up around Spur in Dickens county. Looks like it should be a good year.

Saw a good covey about 30yrds from my front door while dove hunting a few days ago. My pup saw them first and just started shaking. I had to tell her not yet girl, not yet. She didn't like me after that

Flushed a covey up North East of Albany on Saturday morning. About 10 birds. Have a covey that hangs out at the home place South of Abilene that's about 15 birds that I don't hunt hoping they will keep breading and make more

no quail in fannin county...ha ha...that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
I used to dove hunt close to woodson. Last time I was there (2006) I saw quail. A big covey flew into the sunflower field I was in. Sucks to hear the #'s are down there.

Got a pretty reliable report of several small covies near Seymour.

I no longer hunt dove, but my neighbor does. He joined a local club which leased up a dozen or more pastures. I went out scouting with him Wednesday, just for the free ride. It was mostly plowed maze fields, but we saw a few, goat weed pastures, which looks as if they would hold some quail. He limited this morning on 14 white wings, and 1 morning dove. We went back out this afternoon, and met the lease operator. I offered to day lease the quail pastures. He said that we could just go out and shoot them. we're going to try that when quail season cones in.
We didn't see any, but he said that they were there, so to answer your question, none.

was down in webb county (hebbronville to be exact) and saw over 30 covies, many with 15 plus birds per covey. most were full grown birds too.
all this rain we've had sure made them pop up, its more quail than i've seen in 10 years, and we never got outta the truck
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I am on a new lease in Archer County and I have seen more quail in the last month than I have my whole life. Five covies in one afternoon relatively close together but far apart enough to know they weren't the same.

Saw a pretty decent covey just south of Kingsville off 77. Should be a pretty good season.

You might have just stepped on the wrong snake. I checked your profile. I was on my way, till I saw Oklahoma. Also, we called it hogging when I grew up in Arkansas. We got the flatheads out of hollow logs.

This was in my in box this morning.
"Three of us tried to find some doves on the sheep ranch yesterday afternoon across from AG's house, in that fenced in rectangle field. We flushed 30 quail in four coveys. In an hour with no dogs doing any flushing."
