Does anyone have any ideas to make good sliding windows for a deer stand? I made some last year with wood and plexi glass but they don't slide very well and need rebuilding.

wax the wood frame between the plexiglass and the window frame. that will solve your sliding problem. up

Never thought of that before. I'll sure give it a try though. Thanks!

I have used plexiglass for years. They rattle, wind blows in around them, you can not seal them up to keep wasp out at all. I bought 3 windows ( sliders ) just like the one that the hunted sales on his web page. Now there have been 6 guys on the lease gone to this window, they are great. I will never go back to home made windows.
No I do not know The Hunted ( wish I did ) nor do I make any thing from him. He sales a GREAT window.
This is the window that we use.

we cut a notch in the 2x4's on each side of the window put some felt in the notch and it works great and is quiet. put some z bar on the bottom really helped seal it up.

I made these lift up hinged windows for our tower blind out of plexiglass and screen window frame kits you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. They work great for us. I made them so there is only about 1/8" gap between the window and the opening.
