x2 on KC, my favorite. But I considered KC to be sweet. Have tired my own before, but never as good as store bought.

Another sweet baby rays here! For spare ribs I mix a half a cup of brown sugar, half a cup of mustard, and half a cup of apple cider vinegar. It is a sweet tarty taste. I baste the ribs 30 min before they come out. Some times I add more sugar for the sweet tooth.

Sweet Baby Ray's is good but the best store bought that I have found is HEB brand and it has a similar taste to SBR but less sweet and more spice. I like things extra spicy but for some, it has a good amount of kick.

Ketchup, vinegar, honey, red pepper and a little salt. Usually have some in the fridge- you can adjust it based on taste, more or less honey and red pepper...

The GF makes my BBQ sauce, I make the meat. Spicy and thick for chicken or beef, a little sweet for pork and ribs. The only store bought I can eat is from Bodacious BBQ and that's only found at the few restaraunts.

I always grill some veggies along with the meat... usually peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Lately I've been opening a can of peach or pear halves and throwing them on too. Then I'll take the syrup and simmer it down a bit and add the KC Masterpiece to it before basting the meat. Gives it a nice glaze and adds to the overall flavor of the meal, along with stretching out the bottle of KC.

I picked up a bottle of "Rustlin' Bob's Absolutely Wild" Hot BBQ sauce at the hot sauce store in Fredricksburg and that stuff is the best I have ever eaten.

I ONLY buy Famous Dave's Devil Spit! I get it at Kroger and IT is the best I've ever tried. Say's on the bottle....Straight from Hell's kitchen, only the hottest peppers stolen from the Devil's own backyard are used. CAUTION: MAY HAVE APHRODISIAC SIDE EFFECTS. It's good stuff!!! up

Terry's Barbecue Sauce. up

Can't get it at big chain stores yet, but you can find it most smaller grocery/general stores, hunters extravaganzas, gun shows, etc. or just order it online.

KC Masterpiece would be my second choice.

For store bought, it Bullseye for me too. But that's on the rare occasion where I need BBQ sauce. If it's cooked right, no sauce should be needed, IMHO.

I got this off my favorite bbq forum. I use it on pulled pork mostly. But it is great on brisket too. It is outstanding on chicken. I put it in a bottle in the fridge. Heck, I've eaten it on ham sandwiches before. It's tangy and a little sweet, but not overpowering. It comes out looking like baby poop, and it gets quite a response from folks the first time they try it. But they always request it when they come back.

Mustard Vinegar Sauce

1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup Yellow mustard
1/4 cup onion finely minced
2 cloves garlic pureed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Combine ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

For a smoother sauce, blend on high for a few minutes.

Head Country Sauce is very good a touch of sweet with a little kick! But my preference is no sauce at all!
