I would like to start bow hunting and I was wandering if I could hunt hogs and maybe deer with a recurve. I am very new to bow hunting and need some guidence thanks. Just to let you know I will be working on a minimal budget. I was looking at the pse coyote.

Thanks

If you choose to hunt traditional, understand your freezer may stay empty for while. Find some one who is traditionalist and let him school you. I started at 9 years old and have always hunted traditional. Dont buy anything without research. You may be waisting your money. Many try and give up. Google traditional archery forums, there are several out there. They can be very helpful. And you do have to practice a lot in traditional. Good luck

Good advice!! I take both bows when I hunt, compound and trads I've built.

Cool bjankowski, I build my own bows as well. Heading out next week on a scimitar hunt with my longbow!

They claim wrong..
Here's the skinny on that bow.
You're not going to get that kind of FPS unless you're shooting a 80 tp 90 pound bow. Dude 280 is average for compounds shooting light arrows.

Arrow Speed: about 225 to 250 FPS.

AMO Length: 60".
Brace Height: 7 - 7 1/2".
Draw Weight: 45, 50, and 55 pounds.
Bow Weight: 2.75 lbs.
String Length: 55".

Please do not take this as starting an argument. The fastest recurves out there only shoot around 210fps. Any other traditionalist out there, please chime in...

not my claim, but here it is.
http://www.archerybowsandarrowsonline.com/Martin-Jaguar-Take-Down-Recurve-Bow-p/mjagbow.htm

Description
Imagine the smooth draw, the comfortable grip, the powerfully shot arrow and the satisfaction of a clean hit - all this for a very reasonable price.

The Jaguar is ideal when you want to give traditional archery a shot. With fiberglass and laminated wood limbs you feel the smooth draw and send the arrow with power and authority.

The bow breaks down easily for convenient storage and transport.

Check out the details of this impressive recurve bow:

Speed & Agility - The Martin Jaguar delivers over 280 fps of raw power but still is so, so quiet.

Compact - The Jaguar's axle length makes it maneuverable and comfortable to shoot for a tree-stand as well as ground-hunting.

Rugged - The Jaguar's lightweight aluminum/magnesium riser includes a solid limb alignment process that secures the wood/glass laminate limbs, making the bow tough as well as good looking. It also has a thermal grip to keep your hands warm while hunting in the winters!

Flexible Handling - You can easily take down and pack the Jaguar for traveling.

Multi-purpose usage - You can use any type or design of arrow rest, stabilizer or bow quiver on the Jaguar without compromising on the strength and balance.

Attractive Finish - This sleek bow has a camouflage pattern that is realistic with no glare.

Value for Money - This feature-packed bow comes at an amazing price.
