It's been a long time since I have posted on this site. How would I find plans and ideas to build a round bale deer blind? It would work perfect where I hunt. I tried a search but did'nt have any luck. Thanks, R. Cook

When I was a kid we hunted out of these quite a bit. We would just put four bales in a square. Pushing one corner from each bale up against the next one. Be sure to leave a walk space b/w two bales to get in and out. We would always rake off some hay on the ground inside the blind for insulation and comfort. We shot a lot of deer like this. Another way is to put two bales on there ends about 3 foot apart from each other. THen take one and set it on top of the two makig a triangle out of the three bales. Take a few square bales and put on each side of your "hole" for a rest and cover. These work great as long as you don't have bad allergies!
