PM'ed.

Thanks for the help guys, I decided on the SPS and I will either get the Nikon 3-9x40 or BOBO's Burris.

I really appreciate you guys taking the time to help out a newbie. I'll be sure to post pics of my first buck!

I just bought a 700 SPS in 30.06 and I love it. Mine has a Burris timberline 3-9x32 and it is very accurate. Good luck on that first buck.

Thats a nice thing to do BOBO. I have 2 Burris FF IIs with BP and have had good luck with both. Better than both of the scopes mentioned in this thread IMO.

Definitely a better scope than what has been mentioned. I only mention the prostaff because of the price.

Burris is a far better choice. I have 2 and love them. Wont buy another Leupold or Nikon after using the Burris.

IMO you will be way ahead in quality optics by going with BOBO's Burris. I have had one on my .270 Weatherby Magnum, Model 70 for 23 years and it is still one of the best set ups I have had and still have. Yes 3-9 is enough. If you live close to Garland I will meet you at thee range help you mount it, bore sight it and sight in.

BOBO that is a very kind and generous thing you are doing.

that's the holiday spirit BOBO - awesome!

Frosty, that's going to be a nice set up for sure. I would also look at the 270 in that rifle.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. BOBO, thanks again man.

Red Cloud - I live in Austin, not really near Garland. I appreciate the offer though.
